Valentine's Day is the worst. First of all, it is in February, what an awful month. Its FREEZING outside and spring is so far away. Secondly, Valentine's day is just awkward. If you HAVE a boyfriend, you are obligated to get him something which can be a challenge... What can you get a boy to show that you like him and not seem like a creep? On the other side of this spectrum, you have to anticipate what your boyfriend will get for you. Will he get you flowers? Will you be mad if he doesn't get you any flowers? The whole concept is annoying and so un-romantic. Next, if you don't have a boyfriend, you will probably spend the day being bummed out and wondering what is wrong with you for not having one!!! Living in an all-girls dorm is extremely awesome because the lobby looks like a damn florist shop. The message board is covered in names with girls who received flowers... Not like I should complain because my name was up there but that is beside the point. I think there is way too much thinking and analyzing going on during this day. What the hell, how can this day possibly be enjoyable? I have no idea. There are always those annoying people who LOVE Valentine's day and cut out hearts for people and wear all red.. yeah those are the worst. Don't they have anything better to do? I guess not.
Speaking of people who have nothing better to do, let's talk about ghostriding. What a joke. BASICALLY, put your car in neutral, hop out and "let casper drive." WHAT? Yes you heard it correctly, dancing next to your car while it rolls beside you is now hip. Thanks to youtube.com, you can witness this craze first hand. Check out this video, especially if you are alone on V-Day. It will definately cheer you up to see people that are more pathetic than you.
Cheers, Meaghan
